How to customize Windows desktop and taskbar

Here’s how to customize your Windows desktop and taskbar:

  1. Right-click on an empty space on the desktop and select “Personalize”.
  2. In the Personalization window, you can change the desktop background, colors, and theme. You can also choose to use a picture slideshow as your desktop background and adjust the settings for that.
  3. To customize the taskbar, right-click on an empty space on the taskbar and select “Taskbar settings”.
  4. In the Taskbar settings window, you can choose to automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode, use smaller taskbar buttons, and select which icons appear on the taskbar.
  5. You can also choose which apps appear in the system tray (the area next to the clock), adjust the settings for the Start menu, and enable or disable Cortana.
  6. If you want to add or remove items from the desktop, such as shortcuts or gadgets, you can simply drag and drop them onto or off of the desktop.
  7. You can also customize the icons on the desktop by right-clicking on them and selecting “Properties”. From there, you can choose a different icon, change the name of the icon, and adjust other settings.

That’s it! You have now customized your Windows desktop and taskbar to your liking.
