How to customize Windows desktop and taskbar

Customizing the Desktop:

  1. Right-click on the desktop and select “Personalize.”
  2. From the “Personalization” window, you can change the background, colors, and themes of your desktop.
  3. You can also choose to add or remove desktop icons by clicking on “Themes” and then “Desktop icon settings.”
  4. To add a gadget, right-click on the desktop and select “Gadgets” from the dropdown menu.

Customizing the Taskbar:

  1. Right-click on the taskbar and select “Taskbar settings.”
  2. From the “Taskbar settings” window, you can choose to turn on or off features like the taskbar location, taskbar buttons, and system icons.
  3. You can also choose to personalize your taskbar by selecting a color or transparency level.
  4. To add or remove pinned apps, right-click on an app in the taskbar and select “Pin to taskbar” or “Unpin from taskbar.”
